Fresh Seared Tuna Steaks-

Although much drama revolves around Tuna and its safety these days...I still believe everything in moderation.....(except wine!!)
Tuna has many nutritional benefits. Its low in fat & calories, protein rich & full of those wonderful Omega 3 fatty acids!

Today I chose to serve my Tuna Steaks with a fresh Olive "Salsa"
enjoy-

Olive Caper "Salsa"

4 tbs capers*, rinsed
1/2 c pitted mixed olives, chopped
1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
1 lemon,  juiced & zested
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Method-

For "Salsa"
Mix above ingredients in a small bowl and serve with your seared tuna steaks.

For Tuna Steaks
Heat a grill pan or non-stick pan over high heat. Brush tuna with a little olive oil and season with Salt & Pepper.
Sear Steaks for 1-2 minutes on each side. (Make sure it's still rare in the middle as it will continue to cook once removed from the heat.)

Serve Tuna Steaks with the Salsa, and cut lemon wedges if desired.
